So I decided I should start keeping a blog. Having heard the advice numerous times from guest speakers during my final semester of college. it's funny cause I did have one in my first semester for a class. Well whatever.
I've been really into researching things lately. The vast amount of information available on the internet is beyond me. To think people did research at one time without it boggles the mind. I recently purchased a 1950's AMi Model C Jukebox. I have always wanted one and after a few months of looking and reading about them I found my guy.
I found it on craigslist (the website that is probably the most at fault for the downward spiral of newspapers) listed by some guy out in Franklin. After deciding that if it was in ok shape and I could do some bardering I persuaded my dad to come with me and take a look. I bought it, a discounted rate, but knew it would need some work. Work that would have to be performed over time.
It got put in my brother's garage and I went back to living my life as a college student preparing for finals. I revisited the box with my dad to reattatch the plug and see what worked. The lights did for about 5.7 seconds. It was at that point that I knew it was going to take a little more work than I had planned. Knowing virtually nothing about the inners of jukeboxes I headed to the internet for help.
The first was to find parts dealers. Not hard. Pricey, yes. Then it was off to the drawing board to find more pictures of what a completed one looked like. While doing so
